Yadav explained her motivation: “This case really caught my attention. I wanted to understand the why and how of it. When Netflix approached me for a documentary, this was my top choice. There are so many layers to this case that are still unknown.”
She also shared the challenges of making the documentary: “Documentaries aren’t very common in India, and people usually keep private matters to themselves. It was tough to get people to open up, but they also wanted to talk. It was an emotional journey, especially interviewing friends and family. But the lessons learned were invaluable.”
