This second wave of COVID has undoubtedly brought grief and sorrow to many people. Amidst the shortage of medical equipment, and assistance, and the rising death toll, some companies have stepped up to support their employees. We genuinely appreciate their efforts. Here are a few companies making a difference:

TCS

TCS has established COVID healthcare centers in 11 cities across India. They have partnered with hospitals to provide medical assistance to employees and their families in emergencies. Employees are also given paid quarantine leaves and access to a 24/7 medical helpdesk.

Borosil

Borosil announced it would provide two years’ salary to the families of employees who die from COVID-19. Additionally, the company will cover the education costs of their children until they graduate.

Amazon

Amazon offers 14 days of leave without salary cuts for employees who have COVID-19 or need to care for COVID-19-positive family members. They also provide financial assistance for ICU setups at home.

Urban Company

Urban Company has set up a COVID-19 Relief Fund to provide medical help and assistance to their service partners and their families.

This global company is covering the cost of COVID-19 vaccines for all employees and their dependent family members, as per government regulations.

Paytm announced it would give the current year’s salary to the families of employees who die from COVID-19. The popular food delivery app announced it would give 100% of a deceased employee’s income to their family for two years.

StanPlus

StanPlus offers paid quarantine facilities and medical assistance to its staff. Quarantine leaves are not counted as sick leaves, allowing employees to take time off when needed.
